About
I was raised by a single mom in a small village along the Yukon River. At the age of 15, I was involved in a single vehicle accident that left me paralyzed from the chest down. My story is one of overcoming overwhelming depression, grief, anxiety and hopelessness to discover that happiness is possible no matter one’s circumstances. I now live an incredibly beautiful life in Alaska’s second-largest city with my significant other Zac and our teenage daughter. As a result of my family, community and education in psychology, I have been able to live a life of happiness despite being unable to move 90% of my body. My hope is that I can share what I have learned from my experiences with others.
